Flashback: Mathilda

These NYC kids get to experience so much.  We took advantage of half priee theater tickets during Broadway Week and got to see Mathilda before it left Broadway.

So amazing, and just right for the boys.  They loved seeing so many KIDS on stage.

Flashback: Cats

Mary came to visit and treated us to a show.  

The boys didn't quite follow the story, but did enjoy the music, costumes, and set. There is so much to look at that it kept them engaged for the performance.  

We even got to go on stage at intermission.

So many awesome experiences for these NYC kids!

Let's Go, Mets!

Subway!

Summertime means Baseball!  And we have two teams to root for in NYC.  The Mets games are an easy train ride away.

And Citified is a great place for kids.

Getting recruited by the Marines

We spent Memorial Day at Citifield with some friends.

The boys now an follow a game and easily last all 9 innings!  Yay!

A fantastic way to spend a summer afternoon!   (If only the beers weren't $10 a pop!  That's as much as I paid for tickets.)

Kicking off Summertime

Coney Island Boardwalk so it must be summer, right?!?  

Even though we had to pull out some hoodies, we decided to kick off the summertime with some time on the boardwalk.

We rode some rides, made a stop at Nathan's, and the boys played in the sand a bit.

(Can't believe Freddie got me on this!)

 The boys are quite brave now and just about tall enough to do everything on their own.

I still had fun accompanying Hans on rides he was too short for, but I do like to see them run off together to do things on their own.

Next time we'll start earlier so we can get in an aquarium visit.

And hopefully we'l have some heat and humidity to help us drink more beer and eat more ice-cream!
