Uncle Pinkus and I headed to Shreveport this weekend. The Saints had a bye and we originally intended on going to the "Hwy. 80 Garage Sales", but scrapped that idea and instead hung around the house, ate, got into some trouble, ate, played with the kids.... and did I say we ate?

Saturday morning Jennifer got the red beans going (meal requested by her sister!) and we headed out the the field to see the Wildcats in action. Will's team warmed up while the rest of us fooled around.
Audrey demonstrated her cartwheel talents....

Step by step.

And loved on Uncle Pinkus.

Will got some pointers from coach and looked super cool with that mouthguard!

Will's Wildcats lost the game, but Will scored the Wildcat's only touchdown. Go Will!!!
Later Saturday night, Jennifer, Will, Tyler (Will's friend in thrid grade), and I headed to try to find "Vicky" the ghost. Will had heard from the twin girls next door (some fifth graders) that there is a certain park where if you honk the horn three times and repeat Vicky's name three times, Vicky will appear and leave a scar on your leg. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) the Vicky viewing location was occupied by teens playing volleyball.
So, upon the recomendation of Tyler, we headed off to do some "rolling." Jennifer of course was under the influence...of junior mints!

Tyler refreshed my memory on the techniques of rolling and we headed to Walmart to get the 18 roll pack. Tyler recommended more, but it was Will's first time so we thought we should get in and get out as soon as possible.
Will was not so sure this was the best idea and reminded us that he was "telling dad" as soon as we got home. It is obvious that Jennifer has nothing to worry about as Will enters his teen years. He did not give in very easily to the peer pressure, even as it was laid on by his aunt and his own mother!
Tyler assured Will that Mrs. Caldwell was a deserving target as she strikes often in many Shreveport neighborhoods. And besides, they were in Baton Rouge at the LSU game and wouldn't be some until the morning. So, after Tyler instructed will on how to stand in a frozen position when cars drove by so we wouldn't be spotted, Will reluctantly hopped out of the car with a roll in each hand and got to work!

The rolling bandit and I hadn't done this in years, but boy was it fun!

We all need to practice throwing as none of the toilet paper managed to get higher than eight feet.

We giggled, scambled around the yard, hid behind the bushes from passing cars and dog walkers, posed for some pictures, and made our getaway.

Kids are great. I wonder how long it'll be before Jennifer emails us photos of their house being the target of "rolling."
*Note: Mark does not condone such behavior!
**Another note: I do not know Mrs. Caldwell, but heard from more than one source that she created the rolling karma for herself, and would never suspect us!
Our "house dogs" were always curious as to what was happening without them, especially because they could see two cats in the window!

The pooches loved the big yard, walks through the neighborhood, and all of the attention in general. Th cold weather and only Bently's nest on the porch made Batture seek out other places for comfort.
