She's back

She's come each year since we've lived here in March. And then she returns a short while later for round 2.


She's here now for round 2 of the season with her usual 2 eggs.


Charlie and I like having her. We check on her each time we go out to the porch.

For the birds

I've put a hummingbird feeder amongst the milkweed and cigar plants, right where I've seen the hummingbirds feeding. I hope they like it, perhaps even enough for me to get some photos.

Dinnertime

It took about a week for the birds to find the feeders, but once they did, it's been an nonstop feast. The lower feeder is already empty and they've started in on the other. Lots of sparrows and cardinals. I like peeking at them from the window.
