Smash Cake

This is ALWAYS a hit...

a.k.a. Chess Squares

Ingredients:

• 1 box yellow cake mix
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 stick butter, softened
• 1/2 c. chopped pecans
• 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
• 2 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. coconut flavoring and 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

1. Mix pecans, cake mix, 2 beaten eggs, and softened butter.
2. Crumble into a 9x12x2 inch pan, pressing evenly into the bottom.
3. Mix cream cheese, 2 beaten eggs, powdered sugar and flavoring.
4. Pour over top of cake mixture.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
6. Serves 8 to 10.

It's rich, so I'd say cut into about 16-20 small squares, rather than the 8-10 recommended servings.
